Primarily, the tourism team is responsible for:
- Coordinating the implementation of the City & County of Swansea's (CCS) Tourism Strategy - 2006-2010
- Tourism Development
- Tourism Research
- Tourism Information Provision
- Tourism Marketing
Broadly, we are involved in:
- conducting and evaluating marketing campaigns
- co-ordinating press and media enquiries
- local and national PR
- providing and promoting visitswanseabay.com - the destination website
- managing the tourism trade information section
- producing tourism brochures and leaflets
- conducting and collating tourism research
- business support and advice
- representation on national regional and local projects
- business tourism & group travel
- tourism signposting
- highlighting the importance of tourism at all levels
